Registration Data Access Protocol (RDAP) Terms of Service

1. Introduction

This Registration Data Access Protocol (RDAP) Terms of Service Agreement ("Agreement") establishes the terms and conditions governing the use of NavicoSoft’s RDAP service.


  • "You" or "User": Refers to any individual, entity, or authorized representative accessing or utilizing the RDAP service.
  • "We," "Us," or "Our": Refers to NavicoSoft, including its subsidiaries and affiliated entities.
  • "RDAP Service": The protocol providing registration data for domain names, serving as a modern replacement for traditional WHOIS queries.

By accessing or using the RDAP service, You agree to comply with this Agreement and acknowledge that your use of the service is subject to NavicoSoft’s Privacy Policy.


2. User Obligations and Acceptable Use

As a User of the RDAP service, You acknowledge and agree to the following terms:


2.1 Nature of Data Provided

  • The data available through the RDAP service is furnished strictly for informational purposes.
  • While NavicoSoft endeavors to maintain accurate and up-to-date information, all data is provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of completeness, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.


2.2 Permissible Use Cases

You may only use the RDAP service for lawful purposes, including but not limited to:


  • Domain ownership verification
  • Technical troubleshooting related to domain administration
  • Compliance with legal or regulatory requirements


2.3 Prohibited Activities

You expressly agree not to:

  • Employ high-volume, automated processes (e.g., bots, scripts, or scraping tools) to query the RDAP service in a manner that could disrupt NavicoSoft’s systems, other ICANN-accredited registrars, or registry operators.
  • Compile, repackage, or disseminate RDAP data in bulk without obtaining NavicoSoft’s prior written authorization.
  • Utilize the service to facilitate unsolicited commercial communications (e.g., spam, advertising, or solicitations).


2.4 Access Restrictions

NavicoSoft reserves the unilateral right to:


  • Limit, suspend, or terminate Your access to the RDAP service if You violate this Agreement.
  • Implement rate limits or technical barriers to ensure system stability and prevent abuse.


3. Modifications to the Agreement

NavicoSoft may amend this Agreement at any time, at its sole discretion, without prior notice. You are responsible for:


  • Periodically reviewing the latest version of this Agreement.
  • Ensuring continued compliance with any updated terms.
  • Your continued use of the RDAP service after modifications are posted constitutes binding acceptance of the revised terms.



4. RDAP Service Usage Guidelines

To utilize NavicoSoft’s RDAP service, enter the appropriate query into your browser’s address bar:

Replace example.tld with the target domain name to retrieve registration details (e.g., ownership, expiration date, name servers).

Provides technical specifications, usage policies, and additional service information.


5. Additional Provisions

5.1 Data Accuracy and Liability

  • NavicoSoft does not guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, or completeness of RDAP data.
  • You assume all risks associated with reliance on such data.


5.2 Privacy and Compliance

  • Responses may redact or anonymize certain data elements to comply with privacy laws (e.g., GDPR).
  • For access to non-public registration data, submit lawful requests to [legal@navicosoft.com].

5.3 Enforcement and Dispute Resolution

  • Violations of this Agreement may result in legal action or cooperation with regulatory authorities.
  • Disputes shall be resolved per NavicoSoft’s standard terms of service.
